The popular salad of Turkish cuisine

Bean salad is a beloved and nutritious dish in Turkish cuisine. This recipe is a perfect accompaniment to köfte and fish dishes. You can try this delicious recipe to create a meal packed with healthy proteins and vitamins.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of dried beans
- 1 red onion
- 1 tomato
- ½ bunch of parsley
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- ½ lemon
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of sumac
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 boiled eggs
- Salt
Preparation of Bean Salad
- Soak the beans overnight and boil them in a pressure cooker until they become tender (approximately 30 minutes).
- Once the boiled beans have cooled down, drain them and set them aside.
- Thinly slice the red onion into half-moon shapes and rub them with salt and sumac.
- Slice the tomato as desired.
- In a bowl, combine the beans, onion, tomato, and parsley.
- Add vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Transfer the prepared Bean Salad to a serving plate.
- Slice the boiled eggs and garnish the salad with them.
